Wow, that's simply all I can say about my visit to the State of Liberty. You see pictures, you see it from a distance, but to actually be right below. It was amazing. Take time to reflect on all of the immigrants that passed through that area on their way to enter The United States. Take time to reflect on what the Statue of Liberty means. I would highly recommend visiting the island that the statue is on versus doing a boat tour around it.

we took the ferry to see the statue and booked a week in advance. before actually getting on the ship, you will have to show your tickets, pass security and wait in line for the next ferry. that whole process took half an hour on a weekday morning, but it was all well organized with plenty of staff on site. every single ship was packed, but if you're not at the very end of the queue, you will still get a good spot on the deck if you're quick. liberty island is exactly as small and as crowded as we pictured it, but paying for pedestal access was worth it because there is nothing like standing up there and watching the whole city from afar. truly a memorable experience. I wouldn't advise buying access to the crown, though- the view doesn't make much of a difference. keep in mind you will have to store your bags in a locker if you want to step on the pedestal or the crown. all things considered, it's definitely worth the time and money to see the real statue of liberty once in your lifetime. and for history buffs like me, there is a museum on liberty island and another one on Ellis Island!

This was super cool. We took the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour. It was a beautiful sight to see. The little island is super cool, with a cafe and a nice sized gift shop. It was super crowded in both, but I figure it's just because there are so many different boat companies doing tours at one time. But the inside of the statue itself was super clean, with bathrooms. We only went to the top of the pedestal cause the Lord knows I was not about to climb all those steps. It's still a super cool experience and great views. Really nice photo op on the ground in front. It's very windy this time of year, so bundle up!

Great park/statue and decent prices to visit everything! It's an iconic statue and a something everyone must see in their lifetime! Great pictures, beautiful views, interesting history.A ticket is not too expensive, and includes the ferry ride round-trip, access to the statue up to the pedestal, and the museums.You can also opt to go to the top of the crown of the statue! And it's only a few dollars extra (about $26 total per person to visit the statue and go to the top). I think it's a neat experience to go up there, but be aware - it's very tight in the narrow staircase, lots of stairs, and the crown at the top is a tiny room and has a few small windows to see out of. We were a bit underwhelmed by the crown experience, BUT it is a once in a lifetime thing, and I'd recommend it if you don't mind being in tight spaces.Lastly, make sure to book the crown tickets well in advance - months in advance!! They sell out!!

Glad I was able to visit, the tickets were very reasonably priced for the ferry ride, entry to the statue, viewing point, museum and liberty Island! Could easily spend a day on the whole experience but opted to just visit the statue. I wasn't disappointed the views from the viewing platform were great and the vista on the approach to the statue was amazing. Would highly recommend although if you want to get up to the Crown would suggest booking early, it was sold out when I tried to book.

I really enjoyed this experience 🩷 I highly recommend buying the tickets online because there are a lot of people selling them really expensive 🫠. It is basically an island, I went to the museum everything was nice, there are different stores. If you do not speak English, it is not a problem, the staff over there will give you a kind of headphones for explaining everything on the island. I went in June and it was crowded because of the summertime. Overall, the pictures are gorgeous 😍

Amazing experience! Perfect for families and created some unforgettable memories. Although we’ve visited NYC before, we never planned ahead enough to visit the Statue of Liberty. The Crown Tour requires advance planning – we booked our tickets two months ahead to ensure everything went smoothly, and it was worth every penny! Be ready to climb between 200-500 stairs. We skipped the pedestal elevator and ended up walking the whole way. The spiral staircase leading to the crown is a real workout, so make sure to hydrate beforehand, especially since summer temperatures can get intense inside the statue. While the food is on the pricier side, it’s still good. The souvenirs and swag are also fantastic. We’d definitely do it again, but maybe in cooler weather next time!

A Historical landmark and staple of New York.Definitely recommend getting tickets in advance. If your looking for tickets for the Crown your gonna want to put off your trip little after January. I tried getting tickets for it but booked through January.The pedestal was worth the ticket price. Stunning view of New York and the surrounding islands. Id say go the stairs route its not to bad time.Walking the island itself was pretty great and not too busy. I got in on the 9am boat and Id say maybe stick to getting in early. Less crowded and easier time for photos.Ferry ride over was good and quick. The top gets full but you'll still get good views.

The statue of liberty is one of the must-sees . I was taken back by how Eco friendly this place is. They had recycling bins and compost bins next to the trashcan in the eating area, which I loved because of the fact that so many people track here on a daily basis. I must say it is a bit of a workout if you are up for the walk up however you don't have to walk all the way, you can take the elevator. There is a lot to see while visiting the statue as well as two areas to learn about the history and the construction of it. They have a small learning exhibit in the statue and a building on the other side. If you are hungry I would highly recommend going to the cafe. Not only will your food be fresh but it will be made to order. They have vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Their gluten free bread was super soft and tasted great. They have a lot of healthy food items. They had sandwiches,fresh fruit, pasta salad, regular salads and things to drink. They also had amazing customers survive.

Amazing statue with a rich history. One must see it in person to really appreciate it. The price for admission is relatively cheap, so it's not a price issue but a scheduling issue to visit. I highly recommend booking tickets in advance, especially if you're trying to go up to the crown. Depending on the size of your party, ticket availability can be weeks or months out. Also, as of the date of this post, they are no longer doing tours up to the torch only as far up to the crown.

Clearly a must do when coming to New York city. We grabbed tickets pretty last minute and were able to get on the ferry and get over to the island and walk around. Pretty incredible experience. Unfortunately because of how late in the day we went over we weren't able to visit Staten Island but we will be back. Great views of boats entering and exiting the harbor and great view of the city.

I've always been a big American history fan. So I've visited the likes of many historical monuments over the years: Mt. Rushmore, Washington DC, independence hall, etc.The statue of liberty was an entirely new experience. Just flying into NYC made me tear up. I mean this unironically, it was such a compelling site.Then, he took the ferry over and saw her from the boat. Then, walking around the island, wow, it was just a blessing. Another amazing feature was the other tourists. People from around the world are excited and taking pictures with our Lady liberty. It was inspiring.

We booked our tickets about 2 months in advance to make sure we had it done right. Well worth the money. Be prepared to climb 200-500 stairs. We didn't wait for the pedestal elevator and ended up doing all the stairs. The spiral staircase to the crown is a workout so drink water ahead of time (summer is hot under a giant copper lady's dress). Food is a bit pricey, but good. Great souvenirs and swag. Would do it again in cooler months for sure.

Iconic statue to see if you are in NYC, at least good to see once. My local connection here said that locals hardly ever go to see the statue because it's 99% tourists that are wanting to see it, which is understandable. The ferry ride is super fun and gives you great glimpses from all different sides. You'll definitely be able to see the torch and Lady Liberty up close. We booked a tour that allowed us to walk up in the statue and see the NYC skyline from her crown. If you are able to do that, it's a super cool experience. However, make sure you are not claustrophobic - it gets extremely tight up there and there are very tiny, spiraling stairs. It can get very tight if you're walking up to the very top.I would highly recommend taking the ferry tour. However, if you're not dying to see it - if you want to just see it from a distance - it takes a lot of time to ride the ferry. Otherwise, still very cool to see if you're in NYC.

The museum was very interesting. We took a guided tour to both Liberty 🗽 Island and Ellis Island, which honestly wasn’t worth the money we paid. The guide was great but the tour is reasonably priced and easy to navigate without a guide and includes ferry tickets between the islands. Lots of great photo opportunities on the island and the ferry.

Worth the visit just to say you’ve been! Great views back over Manhattan and Jersey, interesting museum and gallery too. Top tip though book yourself in advance on first trip of the day and when you get on the boat, stay downstairs where you get on, if you’re upstairs it takes an absolute age to get off !

Almost in everyone’s bucket list!We too were astounded by the statue.. We had taken a guided tour so it really enhanced the overall experience since the place has a lot of history..Unfortunately, we couldn’t go up since the bookings were full for the entire year due to the recent opening up after Covid.. That was a miss ☹️Having said that you still can have a wonderful experience by just being there. The museum, theatre, viewing platform can keep you busy for hours.Recommended on your trip for East coast.

Visiting the Statue of Liberty was on my must-see bucket list. Glad I visited this one time (I even climbed all 539 steps from ground level up to the cramped crown.) TIP 1: Access to the Crown is limited to 300 visitors per day on a timed ticket. So reserve your ticket far in advance (I reserved 2 months out). TIP 2: Bring a quarter to use a storage locker for your bag, purse, backpack. (None allowed inside the Statue of Liberty). TIP 3: The Crown is very small, allowing only a handful of guests at a time, after climbing a steep, winding staircase. The views are not that impressive. Honestly, the views from the open-air Pedestal are MUCH better. Next time, I would just visit the Pedestal observation deck. // Liberty Island, upon which the Statue is located, is immaculate, nicely landscaped, and run by the U.S. National Park Service. Take a peek inside the museum on Liberty Island, it's worth a look!

We took City cruises from the battery park, NY to visit the Statue of Liberty. We purchased tickets online, in advance since we wanted to go up to the pedestal (A 4 person lift is available if you can't climb the stairs. It has a small queue on a weekday). Tickets to climb to the crown (can be reached only by steps from the pedestal) get booked months in advance.It was such a fun experience.. the boat ride is great, you can move around in the indoor and outdoor deck areas. There is a lot of walking once you get to the island, but it was worth visiting for the amazing views of New Jersey & New York City. The statue itself is majestic and there are some great photo points all around. There are washrooms available in the boat as well as on the island.Keeping a tab on the boat leaving times helped us to avoid waiting around. We also made a quick stop at Ellis Island and had a look at the museum there.Overall, it is an amazing way to spend an afternoon and view one of the most talked about monuments while you are at it!

Obviously a major landmark of NYC. I still haven't been in the actual statue, despite being a lifelong New Yorker. Going to the island and seeing the statue in person is a great experience. The museum is also pretty cool and Ellis Island is even more interesting.

It was a lot of fun and educational. We walked up to the top of the crown which was very cool. It does not cost much and is well worth it. Book at least a month or two ahead. Ellis island was very interesting. The boat trip was nice and scenic.

How can you rate lady liberty poorly. Honestly besides the lines and the crowds it is wonderful and relatively cheap. We went into the crown which only requires a reservation ahead of time. The food on the island was good and not indulgent which was nice. A great experience and an amazing symbol to take in.

Took a boat trip from Pier 40. It was great! Went past the whole of Downtown Manhattan, along the Hudson River, towards the Statue of Liberty. She looked so elegant in the sunshine, and stood tall like the symbol of freedom she is. I didn’t go into the island this time, but definitely will next time.

If you are visiting just the liberty statue and Ellis Island, I would recommend catching a ferry from Liberty State Park. The parking is easy and you get less crowd from that side. If you plan to do the entire New York, then Battery Park will be a good option. However, the parking rates are very high. The tickets can be purchased ahead of time or at the counter and watch out for a lot of people selling their tickets for a different ferry, don't fall for tricks. One thing to notice is if you are getting to the counter at around 2:00 p.m. then you can see only one island. Once you purchase the tickets, you go to the ferry onboarding, and based on the season, the lines could get longer. The ferry ride as such is wonderful, and you can get close-up views of the statue when you are in the ferry. Liberty Island is well maintained, and you can get nice pictures of the statue, the skyline of New York City, and beautiful views of the water. If you prefer the pedestal or crown access, you have to plan ahead and book the tickets in advance. There is always a park ranger on duty who gives an overview of the island if you are interested in knowing that history. There are restrooms well maintained. There are cafes to grab some quick bites. This is definitely one of the places I have visited more than 10 times, and I still love to go here.

Had a beautiful visit! We came on a ferry from Battery Park and the ride over to the statue was just beautiful!Walking around the base of the statue also allows you to feel just how big Lady Liberty actually is! There is also a museum, gift shop, and a restaurant that are all on Liberty Island!The museum is free entrance when you visit and inside the have the original torch that Lady Liberty held.

Life long dream accomplished. The statue is of course on an island, we arrived by boat. The island has a museum which is free of charge to enter, the statue's visit requires a ticket. The museum has a history of how the statue was built and how its message has been used across the years. From the island you can catch some amazing views of Manhattan's skyline

I'm not entirely sure how you could rate this less than 5 stars - Lady Liberty stands on her island and is a beautiful site to visit.There is a small museum on site that has a lot of 1:1 reproductions that you can touch and interact with that truly give you a feeling of the scale of the statue and they have clean restrooms.The statue itself is fantastic and I do recommend getting a Crown pass ahead of time to get a closer look - sadly, I did not have these passes so my views were all from the ground. Regardless, this was still a great experience and I'm thrilled I was able to be there!

We bought our tickets directly with them, not from the street vendors. So make sure that if you go to visit to get your tickets directly from their ticket office or their QR code by the ships entrance. A ship runs every 20 minutes to and from the island, so you can take it at any time you want. They also have a carousel that we also enjoyed while we waited for the next ship. In the island, the view is amazing. There are lots of seating areas. They also have bathrooms in the gift shop area. The ships also have snacks and bathrooms. The boats seem to move a lot at first, but it is ok once it starts moving.

Surrounded by the Atlantic, the Statue of Liberty is accessible from NY and NJ with ferries. Better to buy tickets way ahead of time and arrive early on the day, as there are security checkpoints to get through. On your way to the island and back, there’s stunning view of NYC downtown and financial district. The ferry ride in itself is an amusing experience.Once you reach the island, there’s the statue of course, there’s a museum, gift shop and a food court. In recent years due to construction the island didn’t have the best appearance, but still the statue standing tall, beaming the hope and dream of America, is so powerful. There are tickets available to get to the top of the pedestal.The gift shop has lots of and lots of Statue of Liberty souvenirs. Some are also NY NJ and USA based. The food court burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches are average, don’t expect much from them. Lots of birds fly around and try to take your food. There poops are all around the outdoor dining area. The only downside of this whole place.

The spacious layout ensures that you can navigate comfortably without feeling crowded. You can leisurely stroll around Liberty and take in the sights from every angle without any rush. There's hardly any wait time to visit the pedestal of the statue, and once again, plenty of space to explore.We also ventured up to the Crown, the very top of the statue. It was absolutely stunning! Climbing up the narrow, winding staircase was a bit challenging, especially for someone like me who's not fond of tight spaces, but the experience was totally worth it. Despite the cramped and warm conditions, being at the top was incredible. You can even read the letters on the book and enjoy a breathtaking view, just as Lady Liberty does every day.

A genuine must see! We had crown tickets - beware the VERY narrow spiral steps (160+ steps) to the crown. (Elevator only available for the pedestal). The crown is a unique and small space at the top and requires special tickets to be purchased. This is not for claustrophobic people as the stairs are very tight, narrow and hot in the summer. The crown viewing area is only fits a few people at a time but is a very unique experience in itself and worth it.The pedestal itself is a wonderful experience and a NYC must do! Nothing says New York City and the USA than the Statue of Liberty.Make sure to book tickets months in advance as this will sell out during peak tourist season. (Can not book more than 6 months in advance).The museum inside the pedestal is okay, but has been replaced by the MAIN museum behind the statue. I recommend ONLY doing the main museum which offers great background and historical information. The digital wall is fun to do...take your photo and watch as it appears on the giant digital wall!

Seeing the statue up close was impressive—the way it stands tall is awe-inspiring. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go inside, but the views of the city’s skyscrapers from the island were stunning. Overall, it was a great experience despite the crowds.

This was a great experience when visiting NYC! Booked through NYC cruises and took the ferry over and spent time walking around the island, and we bought tickets to walk up to the crown. That was an awesome experience! There is an elevator to the feet of the statues but you have to climb all stairs to get to the crown. It’s small and tightly crowded. I loved being able to see the infrastructure of the inside of the statue. The island has a fantastic gift shop and lots of great items!

Book early to vet crown tickets. We did and very grateful that we did. You have to go and get your wristbands and tickets by the ticket desk and they will check your ID before giving you the pink wristbands.Easy to get the ferry across to Liberty Island. If you're going to the pedestal or Crown you will need to put back packs or any large bags into lockers.The view from the pedestal is lovely. The crown is very small and enclosed space. It wasn't busy when we went up but I could imagine it would feel very claustrophobic if too many people were up there. You also have to climb steep stairs to get to the top.Lovely family trip.

Located in New York Harbor off the southern tip of Manhattan, Liberty Island is best known as the site of the Statue of Liberty, one of the most iconic symbols of freedom and democracy in the world. It can only be reached by Statue City Cruise after leaving Ellis Island yesterday. The colossal neoclassical, copper-clad sculpture was a gift from France to the United States as a token of goodwill for America's centennial of independence. The island is well kept and fairly small, but there is enough to see and do for at least a couple hours. We’ve been here numerous times, and this time my partner, his aunt and I didn’t arrange any special tickets to the pedestal or crown. The surroundings around Lady Liberty offered some amazing photos with views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City. The museum offered a deep dive into the statue’s significance and the incredible craftsmanship that went into its creation. The exhibits were engaging and educational, highlighting the statue’s role as a symbol of democracy. It offered a lot of 1:1 reproductions that one can touch and interact with that truly give you a feeling of the scale of the statue. The digital wall was fun to do by taking your photo and watching as it appeared on the giant digital wall called Being Liberty. The overall experience was inspiring and educational. A must-see for anyone visiting New York City, which we can recommend.

My family and I went to visit this historic monument. I do have to say that the movies make it out to be bigger than it is, but it's still an amazing experiences.One of the most enjoyable parts is the museum which with an audio tour gives an amazing history of its creation and legacy.Well worth bringing your family to see, even if it's just once or twice in your lifetime.

We had an amazing experience visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island! We took the ferry from Battery Park, which offers departures from both the New York and New Jersey sides. The line was a bit long, but our pedestal tickets helped us skip most of it. I recommend booking a few months in advance for pedestal or crown tickets; the prices are nearly identical. The views of the New York City skyline from the pedestal were breathtaking. Overall, a must-do experience if you're in NYC!

Must visit for every tourist. The island itself isn't crowded even though the cruise ships bringing you here are. The museum has a theatre with very informational clips about the Statue's history. We got the pedestal reserve tickets and were able to climb up to the base of the statue. Line up for the elevator to go is long. Alternative is to climb about 200 steps and skip the line up. Very picturesque views of NYC skyline. Although can't see much of the statue from there, but the island provides numerous vantage points for the perfect pics.
