How do I pass a control in Webex meeting? ›

While sharing your screen, click Assign > Pass Keyboard and Mouse Control, and then select who you'd like to give control to. Click Grant control on the message that appears on your screen. A message displays on their screen to gain control. Once they gain control, your mouse is no longer active.

You can save poll results during or after a meeting or webinar. Select File > Save > Poll Results or click Save . To save the results of multiple polls into a single file, select Save > All Poll Results.

If you're in a call and don't see the option to Give control or Request control, it could mean you're not set up with Webex Calling or you're not in a Call on Webex. If you're not sure what calling service you have, see Webex App | Find Out What Calling Service You Have.

If you're the person taking over the host role, join the meeting and click More options > Reclaim host role. Enter the host key. You're now the host of the meeting. If you're the original host, give the host key to the person you want to take over the host role.

To create a single-answer question, select Multiple choice, and then select Single Answer in the drop-down list. To create a text question, select Short answer.

If you're creating a multiple choice, quiz, or ranking poll, enter the answers that you want participants to choose from. Mark correct answer—Select this option and then choose one or more options as the correct answer. Then, you can show the correct answer to participants after they've answered the question.

To create a survey before a meeting or webinar, go to https://www.slido.com, click Log In > Log in with Webex, and enter your Webex username and password. Then, create a poll, quiz, or a survey.

If meeting capacity is the most important feature, Webex may have cheaper plans, but Zoom may allow a higher capacity. If meeting length above 24 hours is important, you may need Zoom. If you just want to go with the one everyone on your team already uses, pick Zoom.

For a similar price point, Webex allows for 1,000 attendees and more features. Conversely, Zoom gave their virtual event solution a richer set of features, compared to Webex.

Webex will auto-assign the host role to another participant. Still, if there is no other participant who can be assigned the new host (lobby user, attendees in event), Webex will close the meeting in 5 minutes. If a phone-only user is in the session, it will continue to run regardless of the host being in the meeting.

To make someone else the host and stay in the meeting, tap Participants . Then, tap the name of the new host and select Make host. The original host becomes a cohost of the meeting. To make someone else the host and then leave the meeting, tap End meeting and then tap Leave meeting.

You can set your Personal Room to lock automatically by selecting Preferences > My Personal Room on your Webex site. This setting locks your room and prevents attendees from joining the meeting automatically.
